I like constrained patterns with random or chaotic variation, like the ones in trees, plumage and clouds.
I’m also interested in photographing musicians and other performers, and have taken photos over the last few years for the Axis Trio's Singing and Dancing for the Orishas project, Nottingham Peace Garden, the Farnstock Festival Farnsfield, and Oxjam Beeston, and for the bands Home Service, Mas Y Mas, Kelly's Heroes, The Last Pedestrians, Salmagundi, Arian, MuHa, Gaffa, Blackbeard's Tea Party and Manière des Bohémiens. Listening to music AND taking photographs - can't get much better.

How my photography really works, however, is that I walk around looking at things and think ‘Ooh, that looks good. How can I show it?’
I have been taking photographs for a long time, and in 2013 I exhibited at Nottingham Society of Artists (with Lois Gardner Sabet), and in the Lady Bay Arts Festival, Sherwood Art Week, the Exposure! exhibition, Nottingham (third prize by popular choice), the Nottingham University Summer Exhibition and the Tarpey 2013 Open.
In 2014, I exhibited at Nottingham Society of Artists (with Lois Gardner Sabet again), Lady Bay Arts Festival, Sherwood Art Week, Bulwell Arts week, and the Nottingham University Summer Exhibition. I also had pictures up in Antenna for a month or so, and had a print sale there to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières.
In 2015, I was at Lady Bay Arts Festival, Sherwood Art Week, and in the Old Station Gallery, Derbyshire's Open Exhibition.
In 2016, I have pictures in Leicester Museum's Open 27 Exhibition, and I will be at Lady Bay Arts Festival and Sherwood Art Week.

I'm also interested in psychology (I used to teach it), and there's a link to my psychology blog above
